What makes you think "he" isn't?
WT's unsuported teachings of his conditional protection...
...according to the wt teachings, that is.. for trinitarians and unitarians alike, the holy spirit is the most powerful force in the universe.. however, if there is the tiniest measly baby demon just fallen asleep in that book you bought at a garage sale, the holy spirit is outa there.
the mere presence of a man-made wooden game board is enough to scare the living crap out of the hs and make your abode a nuclear waste, off limits zone for any kind of good spiritual activity.. why do we have to create the perfect conditions for the hs to operate on us?
shouldnt it be the other way around?.

Do people really think that the Watchtower is going to take a person to court for quoting part of their publication in a personal letter to a family member and not properly attributing the source material? Really?
Actually, that would be a great thing!
If the WT ever pulled that on me, I will countersue, subpoena the crap out of every secret piece of info they have and effectively make it a public record.
Would I have the financial stamina to do that, that's a different question

For Trinitarians and Unitarians alike, the Holy Spirit is the “most powerful force in the Universe”.

Why do we have to create the perfect conditions for the HS to “operate” on us? Shouldn’t it be the other way around?
Shouldn’t any and all demons crap in their pants the moment you begin to say “Holy Spirit”? Shouldn’t this never sleeping, never tired, always on-guard force be your safe place, your invisible shield, your guardian angel?
Shouldn’t the force, forceful enough to hurl all demons & demon CEO Satan down to Earth, be powerful enough and secure enough in itself not to be stumbled by some amateur, wanna-be book hiding, third class knock-off demons?
You tell me.
then i cant help but come to the conclusion that everyone who died (like 99.999% of humanity at the time) was doomed from the start.. if god directed noah to build a flotation device with very specific parameters, god must have known exactly how many people, animal species, plant etc, would be in it.. what if people actually listened to noah and thousands upon thousands turned up waiting to enter the ark?
god must have known that only so many people will listen and obey instructions.. no to mention that noahs message didnt really reach that many people.
at that time how many people could have heard it?
I think the thread veered off to (equally facinating) side discussions.
My initial point was to bring attention to the glaring conclusion that the Creator had already decided who makes it onboard and who doesn't.
Disturbing detail is that no child, no baby, no matter how innocent, was good enough to be saved. It is beyond comprehension that the innocent creatures made by God, in God's image were as corrupt and unrighteous as the Nephilym...to the point that this is given as an example today by JWs for the precedent of God killing children in a calamity.
the judicial committee for me was rescheduled from friday to this wednesday.. i still have another attempt to see what to do.. please don't answer unless you have read some of my previous posts and/or have a basic understanding of my situation..
Show up with your boyfriend for support.
Seriously, you owe'em jokers no explanation.....

Technically, the mosquitos are not taking a life!
Technically, only because of the size of their reservoir .... notwithstanding malaria, or course...

The Genesis account would seem to indicate that salvation was possible for the population of the time if only they would repent, but they took no note. Perhaps God foresaw this.
....and YET, made Noah preach?! This seem just to you? Not to me, anyway...
What else, of what we are made to believe nowadays, is in vain too? Something? Everything?
The precedent is too powerful to ignore. Unless... the account is not literal

Noah was commissioned by God to preach to the human race, warning them of the coming flood and that they were to board the ark if they wanted to survive.
Sorry, you are missing the point completely.
NO AMOUNT of preaching would have made that ark bigger. By its very physical limitations, the device was insufficient to house large number of people.
God KNEW that only Noah and his immediate family will be boarding it, or he would have directed Noah to make it sufficiently big for the "human race"
Noah's preaching efforts were in vain, which makes the preaching direction of Allmighty very questionable. Don tcha think?

The flood account does not have to be literal to be religiously useful
And how far exactly are you going to get on this basis arguing/enforcing doctrine?

Dang, it must have been demotivational for noahs preaching, knowing the ark was to small!
I never thought of that Bohm. Good catch!
